Positano Dreaming

They say that the best thing about traveling is that first it leaves you speechless and then it turns you into a storyteller. Positano was that place that was always first on my bucket list but I haven’t had the chance to go yet. But in this trip to Italy, I decided it would be my first destination. A couple of days were enough to walk around it but I would have stayed my whole life. That’s how much I loved it. We got to Napoli by plane from London and we managed to get on a bus to Sorrento, where we would take another one towards the Amalfi coast. It was a very stressfull moment getting to Sorrento and finding out (thanks to an old man in a hotel) that the last bus to Positano was leaving in 2 minutes! We ran for our lives with our suitcases on those cobblestone streets. But we got to the bus, just in time. We got on it and headed towards Praiano, where our hotel was, in the dark and on those streets along the coast where you had the mountain on one side and the cliff on the other. Praiano is 15 minutes away from Positano so the next day we spent the day walking along the pastel-hued houses, eating pasta and gelato, and sunbathing at the beach. Definitely my favorite italian destination!
